Do you have the perfect combination of "Operations" skills to sustain a war?
If you are up for the challenge... Read on

Your team will be assigned a Warzone which has a number of cities. Each city will have its own demands for soldiers and arsenal. You will have to setup a distribution channel in the war zone where you have to meet the quarterly demands of the cities. You have to use proper transport options to setup a smooth supply chain to the battlefield.

For each quarter you will be given the demands in those cities and this war will continue for 4 quarters. You will be evaluated on how you are able to sustain the cities and reduce your costs.

The simulation will be held for 1 hour. You can form a 3 to 5 member team for the event. The game will start off with a 30 minute prelim. The selected teams from the prelims will have an opportunity to match their wits against each other in the final simulation round.

More details will be provided after your registration.

Load your grey cells and start Operating.

Panel Discussion - Operations & Supply Chain Management in Service Industries

In today’s competitive world, it is very necessary for organizations to be highly efficient and effective in order to survive and grow. One of the main areas which allows the companies to be efficient and effective is the Supply Chain Management (Supply Chain Management). Companies which have managed their supply chain properly have reaped high benefits and have outpaced other organizations.

SCM started out in the traditional areas of purchasing, distribution and logistics in the manufacturing industry. However in the recent years, SCM have become an important part of the business strategy for the organizations in the Service industry as well. Companies have found that SCM in services is quite different from that in the manufacturing industry and hence new concepts have been studied during the past few years. In service supply chain, people form a significant component of the value delivery process with an increased focus of efficiency on management of capacity, flexibility of resources, information flows and service performance.

The panel discussion will bring out the latest developments in the supply chain in services as the experts with immense experience in this field discuss about the same.
